I hope you are well and enjoying this holiday season!Mathew Pausthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06157135006791553019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7547065615486762917.post-82194500129015121892018-12-01T00:28:20.438-05:002018-12-01T00:28:20.438-05:00Just finished it today, Mathew, and loved the pros...Just finished it today, Mathew, and loved the prose though at times it was irritating to have long passages of description when all one wanted was action. Can't stop thinking of that impulsive act. I guess all of us have such thoughts even if we, thank God, don't always follow them up with actions.neerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01986509319841061021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7547065615486762917.post-87379145879415910272017-01-30T06:48:08.419-05:002017-01-30T06:48:08.419-05:00Thanks, Tracy. I cannot say that I don't like coming-of-age novels, although I haven't read many. I read and liked Catcher in the Rye, which I must have read in my teens. And probably liked it because it was totally different from any experience I ever had.

What I do is avoid reading coming-of-age novels, because I think I will not like them. Same for alternate history novels. I have to force myself to read them, but when I do I generally like them.
